The NYPD is looking for a suspect who allegedly knocked down two people while attempting to rob them near Central Park earlier this month.

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly knocked down two people while attempting to rob them near Central Park earlier this month.

According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred in front of the Park Lane Hotel at 36 Central Park South on Friday, April 3, at around 1:48 p.m. A 71-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were out for a stroll when the suspect sneaked up on the woman from behind and tried to take her shopping bag.

From there, a struggle ensued, during which both victims were knocked ot the ground, police sources said. Police could not confirm if the victims sustained any injuries at press time, but the suspect remains on the lam.

So far, no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
