An up-and-coming Manchester United talent showed exactly what he is capable of during Ruben Amorim’s first-ever pre-season training at the Premier League club.
Ruben Amorim welcomed Manchester United players, both first-team players and youth academy talent, back to the Carrington training complex this summer.
Some United players arrived at Carrington on Monday last week for the first week of pre-season training ahead of the upcoming tour in the United States and Europe.
Following on from the initial cohort returning to Old Trafford, the second wave of United players reported to Carrington for Amorim’s training later in the same week.
Amorim and his United coaching staff have been able to work closely with the players for the first time since the end of the post-season tour of Asia in May.
United will play five matches – three in the US, one in Sweden and one at Old Trafford – on their pre-season campaign ahead of the new Premier League season.

Manchester United will travel to Sweden and will face newly promoted Premier League team – and rivals – Leeds United at the Strawberry Arena on Saturday.
The pre-season friendly between the Red Devils and Leeds United this weekend will be held in Solna and kick-off for the match is slated for 2pm UK time.
Adam Marshall spoke about Ruben Amorim’s second week of pre-season training at Carrington and revealed what happened for Manchester United’s official website.
Amorim opted for a round-robin tournament for the final week of pre-season training instead of an 11-a-side match and Radek Vitek had his chance to shine at the club.
According to Marshall, Radek Vitek showed his quality during the United training session after he flew “through the air” and made a “spectacular save.”
He added that it was “easy to have a little sympathy” for the players between the sticks, especially as the “shots kept raining in” and they were coming “from all angles.”
Ruben Amorim must roll the dice with Radek Vitek during Man Utd’s pre-season tour of Europe and the United States this summer
Radek Vitek has been part of the United youth academy since he arrived at Old Trafford in 2020 from Czech side Sigma Olomouc and has impressed at youth level.
The 21-year-old Czech-born shot-stopper has been picking up invaluable first-team experience from his loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Austrian outfit BW Linz.
Vitek has not made his official first-team United debut during his time in England, but that could all change for the talent under the Amorim era at Old Trafford.
United manager Amorim will no doubt rotate between academy talent and first-team players over the course of the five-match pre-season tour across July and August.
Vitek, who is under contract with United until 2027, could have the real opportunity to show why he is knocking on the first-team door if he can impress on the tour.
