Following the recent announcement of a joint $500,000 donation from FC Dallas, Austin FC, Houston Dynamo FC and Major League Soccer to support Central Texas flood relief, FC Dallas is launching a series of its own additional initiatives to provide ongoing support for families impacted by the July 4 floods.

The statewide death toll from the flooding had risen to 135 as of Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott announced, and dozens more remain missing.

The club also announced that its game-worn legacy kits, a throwback jersey set to debut in the team’s July 19 match against St. Louis City SC, will be auctioned off postgame with proceeds benefiting flood relief and recovery efforts. FCD and St. Louis will each wear a dedicated patch on their kits to honor the victims of the tragedy.

FC Dallas players and staff will also be wearing green tribute t-shirts upon arrival at the stadium to honor the 27 campers and counselors from the all-girls Camp Mystic who were killed in the Kerr County flood.

Fans in attendance at the game can purchase 30th anniversary commemorative match posters for $5 at retail locations throughout Toyota Stadium, with the proceeds benefiting flood relief efforts.

All of these initiatives will debut at the July 19 home match vs. St. Louis City SC in Frisco.

“This tragedy has deeply impacted our community, our club, and our hearts,” FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said in a statement. “We are committed to honoring those we’ve lost and supporting those who now face the long journey of healing and rebuilding.”
