WSU Athletics unveiled experience enhancements like themed games and concerts aimed at making football weekends in Pullman more immersive and community-driven.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Athletics unveiled a series of fan experience enhancements for the 2025 Cougar Football season, including themed home games, new events, and digital engagement upgrades aimed at making football weekends in Pullman more immersive and community-driven.

“We are so excited for the upcoming year and ready to welcome Cougar Nation back to Pullman,” said  WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy. “We have listened to our fans and worked diligently to enhance the entire Cougar Football Weekend experience. Adding events such as Camping with the Cougs and the Wyatt Flores concert to engage the entire community and provide a true gameday experience.”

The university says each home game at Gesa Field this season will carry a distinct theme.

The schedule kicks off on August 30 with WSU’s game against Idaho, when fans will experience the debut of “Camping with the Cougs.”

The event, created in response to limited local hotel availability, allows fans to purchase one of 97 camping spots on Mooberry Track and the turfed field on Grimes Way. Each spot costs $250 for a two-night stay, including parking. Game tickets must be purchased separately.

The evening prior to the Idaho game, WSU Athletics will host a movie night on Gesa Field, free to the public. Fans will vote for the featured film via social media, and limited concessions will be available.

Then, Homecoming weekend will feature a concert by country artist Wyatt Flores on Friday, September 5, at Rogers Field.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Homecoming Pep Rally hosted by the Alumni Center at 6 p.m. and autograph sessions with current Cougar athletes. The Brudi Brothers will open the show at 7 p.m., and Flores will take the stage soon after.

Tickets for the concert are $27 for general admission and $12 for WSU students.

The November 15 home game against Louisiana Tech will be marked by Military and Native American Appreciation.

The weekend begins with a men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader on Friday, November 14. Then, Saturday will feature the Cougar Athletics Tailgate Trot, a 5K and 10K race starting at 9 a.m. through Pullman and the WSU campus. After the run, fans can catch Cougar Volleyball facing Seattle U at noon in Bohler Gym.

Additional enhancements include Sunrise Yoga on Gesa Field during the mornings of the first three home games, depending on weather conditions, and a partnership with WIT, a digital fan engagement platform that will bring interactive elements such as polls, contests, and trivia to fans at the stadium, on social media, and through email.

2025 WSU Football single-game tickets are on sale next week. Presale begins Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m., and the general public on sale is Wednesday, July 23.
