One resident evaluated on scene, no other injuries reported.

PHOENIX — A total of four people and a dog were displaced Sunday morning after an early morning fire.

Firefighters were dispatched just after 2 a.m. to the area of 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road for reports of a house fire.

They found heavy smoke coming from the garage and fought the blaze while searching for any occupants. One resident was evaluated on scene and declined transportation to the hospital.

A total of four people and a dog will be displaced. The Community Assistance Program personnel are assisting with their needs. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
