PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Authorities are investigating a fiery crash after a car slammed into an auto parts store in Phoenix’s Melrose District on Saturday night.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a serious crash in the area of 7th and Glenrosa avenues, north of Indian School Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said the car crashed into a NAPA Auto Parts store before bursting into flames. Witnesses reported seeing people flee before officers arrived, according to investigators.
Officers later found an injured man, who was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive. Police have not publicly identified him or confirmed whether he was involved in the crash.
No one was inside the building at the time of the collision.
Investigators said any potential charges will be considered once the investigation is complete.
