Weather for this weekend and next week in Dallas is expected to be hot, sunny and humid, and while the temperature itself is not expected to crack 100, heat indexes will be soaring.

According to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, highs on Saturday and Sunday in Dallas-Fort Worth will be in the upper 90s, with heat indexes peaking at between 104 and 106. However, those heat indexes will only increase during the coming week, with a peak feels-like temperature of 109 expected during the upcoming week.

The forecast from KXAS-TV (NBC5) is showing identical high temperatures of 97 through Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday is expected to hit a high of 99, pushing North Texas closer to the 100 degree mark, which hasn’t yet been hit this year.
