QUEENS – A fire broke out early Thursday at a home in Queens, prompting a multi-alarm emergency response and leaving several people, including police officers, with minor injuries.
What we know:
Firefighters responded to around 3 a.m. near 130th St. in South Ozone Park, between 107th and 109th avenues.
The fire involved a 2½-story private house and spread throughout the structure, extending to a neighboring home.
The blaze escalated to a fifth alarm, drawing dozens of emergency personnel to the scene. Firefighters continued operations from outside the buildings as the situation developed, officials said.

Ten people suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals, according to the FDNY.
Police officers were among those hurt.
Authorities said officers had initially responded to a dispute at the home before the fire broke out.
Eight officers sustained minor injuries, according to police, though other reports indicated as many as one sergeant and seven officers were hurt.
All were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
A neighbor reported hearing a dispute at the residence before an apparent explosion and evacuation.
National Grid crews also responded to the scene.
