All voting centers have now reported votes in Tarrant County and unofficial results show Russ Medeiros in the lead for Place 4 seat in Keller City Council, Chris Whatley will remain in the Place 5 seat and voters favored Charles Randklev for the Place 6 seat.

According to the unofficial early voting totals released from the Tarrant County Elections Office website, Medeiros secured 2,560 votes, or 41.75% of the votes tallied. Whatley has 3,615 votes, which makes up 58.91% of voters counted, and Randklev has 2,650 votes, which is 62.95% of votes.

Since no candidate for the Place 4 seat received more than 50% of the votes, the top two candidates, Medeiros and Jarrett Armstrong will go into a runoff election on June 13.

All results remain unofficial until canvassed.

Unofficial results show Russ Medeiros is leading for the Keller City Council Place 4 seat, Chris Whatley is currently ahead for the Place 5 seat, and Charles Randklev is in the lead for the Place 6 seat.

According to the unofficial early voting totals released from the Tarrant County Elections Office website, Medeiros has secured 1,792 votes, or 43% of the votes tallied so far. Whatley has 2,529 votes, which makes up 60% of voters counted so far, and Randklev has 2,650 votes, which is 63% of current votes.

What’s happening?

Three Keller City Council seats are up for election May 2.

Elda Rata, Jarrett Armstrong and Medeiros are competing for the Place 4 seat.

Incumbent Whatley goes up against Ned Brown and Ashley Stone Hernandez for the Place 5 seat.

Zane Kupper and Randklev are vying for the Place 6 seat on Keller City Council.

The breakdown

Totals from Tarrant County ballots cast May 2 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.

During the early voting period, 52,732 residents cast ballots, while 6,480 returned ballots by mail, according to county election data. The turnout was 4.49% of the county’s registered voters.
