JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Olivia Black and Sietske Drijvers earned third-team all-ASUN recognition, and Julia Bacoulis and Mackenzie Leiti received ASUN All-Freshman honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Sietske Drijvers notched the all-conference honor in her lone season in the Atlantic Sun. The Zaltbommel, Netherlands, native has thrown out runners stealing at a historic rate in 2026. She ranks third in the country with 17 runners caught stealing – that mark is the new FGCU program record. She catches runners stealing at the highest rate of everyday catchers in the conference (34.69%), has started all but two games behind the plate and has started every ASUN game at catcher. Drijvers also has a .986 fielding percentage behind the dish, with 173 putouts and 41 assists, and is three behind the national leader (Buffalo’s Isabella Smithson) for runners caught stealing. Drijvers is tied for seventh in FGCU career history for runners caught stealing despite only spending one season in Fort Myers.
She’s also been a key piece offensively for the Eagles. Drijvers had a 17 game on-base streak in March, has a .472 OBP (ranks tenth in the ASUN) and is hitting .319 in ASUN play. 16 of her 23 walks and four of her five HBP have come against conference opponents; she hit leadoff for every game in March & April. Drijvers leads FGCU with nine doubles, her 22 RBIs are second on the team and she’s homered twice. Along with Black and Nikki Gibson, she has started every game in 2026 for FGCU.
Black earned her second consecutive all-conference nod after a season in which she became the seventh player in ASUN history and first since 2017 to record 100 stolen bases (she enters the conference tournament with 101). She now ranks sixth in ASUN history and is seventh among active players. Black holds the FGCU career Division I stolen base record and went a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen base attempts in ASUN play in 2026. She is on track to finish third in program history with a 92.66% success rate on stolen base attempts (min. 50 steals), which would be the best mark by a four-year player at FGCU and the second best mark in the Division I era.
The Fort Pierce, Florida, native also boasts a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 51 starts in 2026 in center field. She’s one of six qualified players in the ASUN (min. 68 chances) without an error and is just one of two outfielders in the conference at that mark; Black tallied five outfield assists, including an 8-6 double play in conference play, in the regular season.
She is one of six players in the conference to steal three bases in a game when she swiped three bags at West Georgia; Black also swiped two bases twice in 2026, against Stetson in the season finale and against Ball State in February.
The senior is one of eight players in the conference to have a four-hit game when she garnered a career high against Louisiana Monroe in February. Black also doubled twice against the Warhawks, which is tied for the most doubles in a game in the ASUN this season. She totaled 16 multi-hit games (two three-hit games and the four-hit game) and has four multi-RBI games, including three in ASUN play. One of her multi-RBI games came on February 17, when she delivered a two-run walk-off single to upset FAU.
The ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year leads FGCU with 18 stolen bases in 2026 (tied for fifth in the ASUN), three triples (tied for eighth in the ASUN), 50 hits and a .331 average. Her 24 runs scored are second on the team and her 21 RBIs are third on the team.
Julia Bacoulis has had the best season by an FGCU freshman pitcher in a decade en route to the all-freshman team honor. Her 82 strikeouts lead the team and rank sixth in the conference, and her overall K/7, ranks third in the ASUN at 5.09 (among pitchers with 50+ strikeouts). Bacoulis’ ERA is 3.30 in ASUN play, the best mark by any freshman pitcher, and her 42 strikeouts in ASUN play rank seventh among all pitchers. She struck out nine batters in a complete game win over Jacksonville, tied for the second most in a game by an ASUN pitcher this season and had eight strikeouts in her college debut against Long Island in February.
The Monroe, Connecticut, native spun an eight inning complete game in an extra innings win over Stetson and beat the Hatters twice in one weekend for a series win. She held a likely NCAA Tournament team in UCF largely in check in an extra-innings loss to the Knights, and has a 5-3 record in ASUN play. Bacoulis tallied a pair of saves saves; her .242 opponent average in ASUN play is the best mark by a freshman pitcher and ranks ninth overall
Relative to previous FGCU freshmen, Bacoulis has the fourth most innings pitched and strikeouts in program history. It’s the first time since 2016 that an FGCU freshman has eclipsed 80 strikeouts. Bacoulis has thrown 33.8% of FGCU’s innings, which is the third most by a freshman in school history.
Leiti has been the Eagles’ most dangerous power hitter as a true freshman. Her seven home runs are tied for the most among freshmen in the ASUN. She leads FGCU with the seven home runs, 32 RBI and a .520 SLG. Her 19 RBI in ASUN play are tied for 12th in the conference. She has eight doubles, four three-RBI games and eight total multi-RBI outings, the best mark on the team. Her 32 RBIs lead all ASUN freshmen. Leiti had a three hit game in a win over Jacksonville. The Naples, Florida, native has eight multi-hit games and provided FGCU’s offensive punch against Florida State and Louisville, homering against the ACC squads.
5 seed FGCU will face 8 seed Austin Peay in a first round single-elimination game at 2:30 p.m. today.
