Encouragement Media Group (EMG) is set to bring its Spanish Christian format Fuzión to Dallas-Fort Worth via KZMJ (94.5), pending FCC approval, marking a major expansion into a key U.S. Hispanic media market. The 100,000-watt signal will cover the entire DFW metro and much of North Texas, with the company estimating a potential reach of 2.5 million Hispanic listeners. The company is purchasing KZMJ from Urban One, who is spinning it off as parts of its acquisition of KKDA and KRNB from Service Broadcasting.

Company leadership says the move has been part of a longer-term strategy to grow Fuzión’s presence in influential Spanish-language markets. President and CEO Troy Kriechbaum described Dallas-Fort Worth as a strategic hub with the ability to shape both media and culture nationwide, adding that the expansion is aimed at connecting with listeners in Spanish through faith-based programming.

The format blends Spanish-language Christian music with biblical teaching and inspirational content. Brenda Águila, EMG’s Vice President of Spanish Ministries, said the goal is to provide encouragement and foster unity within the Hispanic community across the region through culturally relevant programming centered on faith.

With the addition of KZMJ, Fuzión will expand to 18 signals across the Southwest, with Dallas-Fort Worth positioned as its flagship market. The network already operates in markets including Las Vegas, Southern California, Albuquerque and East Texas.

In addition to its over-the-air presence, Fuzión will be available through digital platforms, including streaming, a dedicated mobile app and social media, as EMG continues to emphasize multiplatform distribution. The deal for KZMJ was brokered by Tideline Partners.

The launch adds to EMG’s broader portfolio of Christian media brands, as the organization continues to grow its reach across both English- and Spanish-language audiences.
