NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos on Thursday of a two men wanted in a string of jewelry thefts across Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx.
The spree began on April 28 and has continued through early May, cops said. In the first four incidents, victims—ranging in age from 15 to 20—had necklaces snatched from their necks while exiting stations or riding the 4 and 7 trains.
At about 4:20 p.m. on May 3, a 41-year-old man was in front of 37-71 Junction Blvd. when he was approached by a group of six, officials said. One suspect simulated a knife before the group robbed the victim of his headphones, and the group fled on foot.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
