Entertainment venue Sandbox VR is set to open in Gilbert on May 22, for Arizona’s first permanent location.

It will be located in the SanTan Village shopping district, and those who make a reservation ahead of the opening will get a 30% discount off their booking price.

A Mesa location was unveiled in pop-up form in March, giving the Valley its first taste of the worldwide phenomenon.

“Gilbert has seen incredible growth in dining, retail and live experiences, and Sandbox VR represents the next evolution of entertainment for the East Valley,” Tylor Hardy, co‑franchisee of Sandbox VR Gilbert, said in a press release. “We’re excited to introduce something truly special to the area: an experience that raises the bar for how people connect and have fun.”
