Detectives are on the hunt for a gunman who opened fire on a crowd last month in Brooklyn, injuring an innocent bystander in the process.
According to police sources, it all unfolded at around 8:50 p.m. on April 14 outside of the Marlboro Houses in Gravesend, located at 2249 Stillwell Ave. Cops say the suspect got into an argument with a group of individuals hanging outside the NYCHA complex when he pulled out a gun and opened fire.
During the chaos, a stray bullet grazed a 23-year-old woman in the left arm; police said she was not the intended target. The perpetrator then fled the scene. EMS treated the victim on site for the wound.
Police said the gunman was last seen wearing a black sweater, white T-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers. The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect in hopes that he would be recognized.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
