JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — A 35-year-old Jacksonville woman is facing multiple charges following an incident at Onslow Memorial Hospital over the weekend.
Tammy Spencer was arrested Saturday, May 9, and charged with felony assault on emergency personnel, as well as intoxicated and disruptive behavior and disorderly conduct.
Arrest warrants state that Spencer allegedly assaulted a person by grabbing the victim’s shoulders twice and causing a cut to the victim’s finger. The incident reportedly occurred in an area where a disturbance was either happening or imminent.
Authorities say Spencer appeared intoxicated while inside Onslow Memorial Hospital and engaged in disruptive behavior. She is accused of intentionally causing a public disturbance by throwing her belongings around the emergency room lobby and yelling.
Following her arrest, Spencer was transported to the Onslow County Jail, where she remains without bond. Officials say she was already on pretrial release for a prior offense at the time of the incident.
Spencer is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Monday, May 11.
