Tous les Jours, an artisan French-Asian-inspired bakery cafe chain founded in South Korea, is preparing to open a new location in Jacksonville’s Baymeadows area. The shop in Baymeadows Village, would be the second Tous les Jours in Jacksonville, following the brand’s debut seven months ago inside Lotte Plaza Market in the city’s Regency area. Franchise co-owner Stefani Go told the Times-Union by text that the standalone restaurant plans a May 21 soft opening ahead of a May 22 grand opening. The opening adds another dessert and cafe option to a busy Southside retail corridor and marks the chain’s first standalone brick-and-mortar restaurant in Jacksonville, giving local customers a full cafe setting rather than a food court outpost.
1. What is Tous les Jours?
Tous les Jours is a bakery cafe chain that describes itself as a “neighborhood bakery” on its website. The brand is known for breads, sandwiches, pastries, cakes and desserts made from scratch daily, along with coffee, espresso, teas, frappes and smoothies.
Launched in South Korea in 1996, the company made its U.S. debut in 2004, according to the company’s website. Today, Tous les Jours has more than 1,740 restaurants worldwide, including more than 110 in the United States.
2. Where is the new Jacksonville location?
The new shop is at 9810 Baymeadows Road, No. 6, in Baymeadows Village on Jacksonville’s Southside. It took over and renovated a roughly 4,360-square-foot space previously occupied by Panera Bread.
The shopping center is at Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard. Nearby restaurants include Bubbakoos Burritos, Metro Diner, Zen Dumpling, Domino’s Pizza and Sushi House.
3. What can customers expect on the menu at Tous le Jours?
The bakery cafe’s menu centers on sweet and savory baked goods, cakes and drinks. Its signature Cloud Cake comes in at least 15 flavors, according to the website, including strawberry lychee, green tea, mocha, mango and Earl Grey.
Other pastries include Pain Au Chocolat, Yuzu Pie, Apple Jam Mont Blanc Pastry, Guava Danish, Almond Croissants, Spinach Feta Danish, Caramel Apple Pie and Garlic & Cheese Croissants.
4. Who is behind the Jacksonville franchise?
Pictured during Tous les Jours training, Stefani Go (left) and her husband, Andy Yang (right) are the Jacksonville franchise co-owners of the artisan French-Asian bakery cafe opening its first standalone brick-and-mortar restaurant at 9810 Baymeadows Road No. 6 in Baymeadows Village restaurant and retail center on the Southside.
The Baymeadows location is owned by franchisees Stefani Go and her husband, Andy Yang. Go said she had been a fan of Tous les Jours since childhood and that the couple wanted to bring the bakery to Jacksonville after visiting locations in other cities.
The pair began looking for a Jacksonville site in 2024, according to the report. Yang is also listed in state records as manager and registered agent for Bibimbox Korean Kitchen & Wings, including Kumo Kumo Dessert Cafe, which opened near Tinseltown last October.
5. Why does this opening matter locally?
This location would expand Tous les Jours’ footprint in Northeast Florida beyond its first Jacksonville presence inside Lotte Plaza Market at 9355 Atlantic Blvd. The Baymeadows store is also described as the company’s first standalone Jacksonville restaurant and, according to the company’s website, would be the sixth location in Florida.
For local customers, the new site would offer a larger dine-in cafe space. Go said the Baymeadows site was chosen in part because it was big enough for a large dining area where customers could sit and enjoy coffee, matcha and pastries.
