Mo' Bettahs Expands in Arizona With New Downtown Phoenix Restaurant Opening on May 18Phoenix, AZ  (RestaurantNews.com)  Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Style Food will open its second Arizona location May 18 in downtown Phoenix, continuing the brand’s expansion in the state and introducing more Arizonans to its take on traditional Hawaiian plate lunch.

Located at 50 W. Jefferson St., Suite 180, in CityScape, the new restaurant places Mo’ Bettahs in the heart of downtown, just steps from major office towers, entertainment venues and the city’s central business district. The opening gives Phoenix diners a new go-to for quick, satisfying meals rooted in Hawaiian tradition, while also building on the brand’s recent Arizona debut and broader expansion into new markets through a corporate-led approach focused on consistency and long-term performance.

Guests will be welcomed ahead of opening day with Friends and ‘Ohana celebration events on  Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16. Both days will feature lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests will receive a complimentary mini plate and drink, along with swag, giveaways and the opportunity to meet the brand’s founders, Kimo and Kalani Mack.

Friday evening’s dinner will extend into a community block party at Patriot’s Square at CityScape, featuring yard games, vendor booths and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

Founded in 2008, Mo’ Bettahs was built on the recipes, culture and hospitality the founders grew up with in O‘ahu. The menu reflects those roots, featuring traditional Hawaiian plate lunches with options such as grilled teriyaki chicken or steak, kalua pig, pulehu chicken, katsu chicken and shrimp tempura, all served with steamed rice, veggies or macaroni salad.

“Mo’ Bettahs has always been about bringing people together over great food and genuine hospitality,” said Kimo Mack. “We’re looking forward to becoming part of the downtown Phoenix community and sharing the traditions we grew up with in a way that feels welcoming and true to who we are.”

The restaurant will officially open to the public on Monday, May 18, with a buy-one, get-one-free offer on regular plates for guests who mention the promotion at the register.

Guests can also join the Makana Rewards program to begin earning points with every purchase, receive a free mini plate after their first visit, and unlock future perks, including birthday treats and exclusive offers.

The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed on Sundays. Guests can dine in, order takeout or explore catering options.

Mo’ Bettahs has grown steadily in recent years, expanding into new markets while maintaining its focus on food, family and community. The downtown Phoenix location marks another step in introducing its island-inspired flavors and hospitality to new audiences.
