A new season of concerts, comedy and live performances is coming to The Ford, with the LA Phil assembling a lineup of musicians, filmmakers and performance artists.

The season at the Hollywood Hills open-air amphitheater will run from May through October and include concerts, film screenings, spoken word events, comedy and family programming, according to the LA Phil.

“The Ford is unlike any other stage,” Kim Noltemy, president and CEO of the LA Phil, said in a statement. “It is intimate, immersive and deeply connected to the creative communities that define Los Angeles.”

Scheduled performances include Rostam’s “American Stories Tour” on May 30.

Matteo Bocelli, son of tenor Andrea Bocelli, will perform June 21 as part of his “Falling in Love World Tour.”

Film programming begins July 8 with a 45th anniversary screening of Luis Valdez’s “Zoot Suit,” featuring appearances by Valdez and actor Edward James Olmos.

Family programming will continue July 12 with “Journey Through Cahuenga: Indigenous Storytelling and Dance.”

The FordLab series will include comedian Aida Rodriguez and DJ D-NICE on July 17, and John Beasley’s “UNLIMITED MILES: MILES DAVIS AT 100,” presented with the Leimert Park Jazz Festival, on July 19.

Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, known for his scores for Studio Ghibli films including “Spirited Away” and “My Neighbor Totoro,” will present his “Music Future” series July 25.

— Folk music veterans Judy Collins and Bruce Cockburn on Aug. 7;

— Bob Baker Marionette Theater’s “Summertime!” on Aug. 9;

— Ani DiFranco and Valerie June on Aug. 12;

— Helado Negro and Reyna Tropical on Aug. 13;

— “Tercera Raíz,” exploring Afro-Mexican culture, on Aug. 21;

— Flypoet Summer Classic on Aug. 29; and

— Armenian ensemble Element Band on Aug. 30.

— Filipino American a cappella group The Filharmonic on Sept. 6;

— Maria Bermudez’s “Flamenco! Convivencias” on Sept. 12;

— British singer-songwriter Paris Paloma on Sept. 22;

— “Nothing Compares 2 Prince,” featuring singer Bilal and DJ Rashida, on Sept. 25; and
