LA JOLLA, Calif. — The UC San Diego women’s rowing team is set to compete in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Women’s Rowing Championship this week.
The conference event will take place on Saturday, May 17, on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.
The Tritons will field Varsity 8, Varsity 4, Second Varsity 8, and Third Varsity 8 boats.
Also competing are Drexel, Monmouth, Northeastern, UAlbany, UConn, and Villanova.
At the 2025 CAA Championship, UC San Diego placed fifth overall in front of UConn, Eastern Michigan, and Monmouth. The Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 each placed fifth and the Second Varsity 8 was fourth.
Northeastern won its 11th-consecutive CAA title in 2025.
Following last year’s championship, three Tritons from the Varsity 8 boat were named to the All-CAA Team including Laine Bradley, Rachel Cuneo, and Natasha Vallencey.
Racing gets underway at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Third Varsity 8 Grand Final. Following will be the Varsity 4 Grand Final (9:40 a.m.), the Second Varsity 8 Grand Final (9:50 a.m.), and the Varsity 8 Grand Final (10 a.m.).
