PHILADELPHIA, PA — The United States Postal Service will host a career fair Saturday in Philadelphia as the agency recruits for carrier, automotive technician and maintenance positions across the region.
The hiring event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Postal Service’s Philadelphia District facility at 3190 S. 70th St.
According to the agency, openings include city and rural carrier positions as well as automotive technician and maintenance roles.
USPS spokesman Paul Smith said the event is intended to recruit workers locally for positions within the Philadelphia area.
“We have city and rural carrier positions available as well as auto tech and maintenance positions,” Smith said.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment, or 16 years old with a high school diploma, according to the Postal Service. Candidates must also pass a criminal background check and, where applicable, maintain a safe driving record.
The Postal Service said eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or citizens of American Samoa or another U.S. territory for at least five years.
