ELON – The Elon women’s track & field team extended its run of dominance in the Coastal Athletic Association on Saturday, winning its second consecutive CAA Outdoor Championship – and fifth in six seasons – at the Robertson Track & Field Complex.

The win was Elon’s seventh CAA outdoor title at its 11th meet as a conference member and clinched a 2025-26 triple crown for the Phoenix women, who also captured the conference’s cross country and indoor track & field championships last October and this past February, respectively.

Elon piled up 193 points to outpace runner-up Hampton (140) and third-place Towson (110). The Phoenix won four individual titles on Saturday, finishing with seven overall in the two-day meet.

Lizzie Lopez capped a standout weekend by defending her CAA heptathlon title, totaling 4,930 points to repeat as conference champion after winning the event in 2025. Lopez edged freshman teammate Greta Urbonaviciute, who finished runner-up with 4,856 points as the Phoenix claimed the top two spots in the event. Lopez closed the competition with wins in both the long jump and 800 meters, posting a personal-best 2:20.42 in the final event of the heptathlon. Urbonaviciute added a runner-up finish in the javelin and placed third in the 800 meters with a personal-best time.

Mia Stimpson delivered Elon its first individual title on the track Saturday, capturing the 100-meter hurdles crown in a personal-best 13.62. The performance moved her to No. 2 in program history and made her the Phoenix’s first conference champion in the event since 2022.

Duna Viñals followed with a championship effort in the 400-meter hurdles, winning the event in a personal-best 58.37. Her time moved her to No. 2 in school history and added another key scoring performance to Elon’s title push.

Katie Blount secured her second conference title of the weekend in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line first in 17:24.65 after winning the 10,000 meters on Friday night. The Phoenix packed the front of the field in the event, with Jasmine Young placing third and Hannah Weber fourth to add valuable points.

Elon also received several runner-up performances on the track. Abby Beville finished second in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:24.16, while Jenna Gilman earned silver in the 800 meters after crossing in 2:07.28.

In the field events, Hannah Schonhoff matched a personal best and moved to No. 2 in school history with a clearance of 1.76 meters (5’9.25″) to place second in the high jump. Eloise Mulready also posted a personal best in the event and finished sixth.

The Phoenix added more scoring performances in the throws, led by Isabella Johnson – the CAA Most Outstanding Field Performer – who placed third in the discus and fourth in the shot put. Tristin Oberg added a sixth-place finish in the discus with a personal-best mark that moved her to No. 7 in program history, while Adriana Clarke scored in the shot put and climbed to No. 6 on Elon’s all-time list.

Elon closed the meet with a historic effort in the 4×400-meter relay. The quartet of Viñals, Mary Sollars, Gabi Walker and Gilman finished third in 3:40.71, breaking the school record and capping the championship-winning weekend.
