Authorities said Jayden Medina, 23, of Jersey City, was arrested Thursday by members of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit.

Medina is charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim under New Jersey law. Officials said he was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and later released on a summons pending his first court appearance.

According to investigators, the incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on May 9 near the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Duncan Avenue in Jersey City.

Members of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and found a 37-year-old woman suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
