PHOENIX (AZFamily) — APS customers have a chance to speak out Monday about a proposal that could increase their utility bills.
The utility company filed an application last year to raise rates by about 14%. The increase would add an average of about $20 to monthly bills.
A spokesperson for APS said the increase is needed to cover money the company spent on operation and maintenance costs in previous years, including improvements to the electrical grid.
The company is set to hear public comment at the Arizona Corporation Commission at 1300 W. Washington St. from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. on Monday.
