The Dolphins enter postseason play at 29-24 overall and 16-14 in ASUN action after finishing fifth in the final conference seeding, which was determined by RPI following the top four seeds.

The opening two rounds of the ASUN Championship will be single elimination before shifting into a double-elimination format beginning Thursday. Tuesday’s winner between Jacksonville and Austin Peay will advance to face No. 4 seed North Alabama on Wednesday.

Jacksonville returns to Melching Field just one week after concluding the regular season road slate at Stetson, where the Dolphins won the series opener and secured a spot in the conference tournament. The series featured a weather delay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Dolphins also closed the regular season by holding No. 3 seed FGCU to just six runs across a three-game series, and securing the season set, 4-2.

Jacksonville and Austin Peay will meet for the first time since the 2025 ASUN Championship, when the Governors earned a 9-1 win over the Dolphins in DeLand. JU remained alive in the tournament following the loss, later defeating North Alabama 3-2 before its season came to an end against FGCU.

The Governors won two of three meetings between the teams during the 2024 regular season in Clarksville. Current Dolphins Clayton Hodges, Nick DeLisi, Cade Hentz, Conner Spelman and Scout Updike all appeared in that series.

Austin Peay holds an 8-5 all-time advantage in the matchup.
