A deranged boyfriend fatally slit his girlfriend’s throat inside their Brooklyn apartment early Sunday morning – and then calmly lounged on a sofa as he waited for cops to arrive, sources said.
Officers found the 41-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds and her throat slashed after they were called for an assault in progress at the intersection of Cooper Street and Irving Avenue in the hip nabe of Bushwick around 8:50 a.m., police said.
Responding cops had heard the woman crying for help from a nearby townhouse, saying she was being stabbed, according to sources.

“I heard yelling and shattered glass,” one neighbor told The Post. “Five minutes later, the police arrived.”
Authorities on scene tried to get in through the front door of the apartment, but had to hop through a back window to get into the building, sources said.
Once inside, cops were greeted by a gory scene.
The victim was laid out on the floor of her living room, with a slashed throat in addition to the multiple stab wounds, sources said.
They found a 41-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds throughout her body, police said.
The man who had done her in was sitting calmly nearby on a sofa when cops entered the room, according to sources. He was taken into custody but had not yet been charged by Sunday evening.
EMS rushed the woman to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, where she later died, according to authorities.
Alyssa, who lives upstairs from the couple, said she buzzed cops into the building then witnessed EMTs wheel the woman out of the building.
“It wasn’t good. It was a lot of blood. It was on her body,” Alyssa said.
She also saw cops walk out the deranged boyfriend.
“He was sitting on this first step, barefoot. Surrounded by cops,” Alyssa said of the stabber.
Sources said that the maniac boyfriend had at least 20 priors, including an assault, robberies, and burglaries.
The two had one prior domestic incident, according to sources.
