SAN ANTONIO – A resident reported that two men forced their way into her home Saturday evening after claiming to be law enforcement, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the incident happened May 16, 2026, at about 6 p.m. in the 8400 block of Alove Vera Trace. A resident told deputies that two unidentified males broke a rear window to get inside the home.

Investigators said the suspects claimed to be law enforcement before entering, but “they are not associated with any legitimate law enforcement agency.”

The men were last seen leaving in what is believed to be a copper or bronze-colored SUV with medium-tinted windows and black rims, the sheriff’s office said. The rear license plate appeared to be covered with a plastic bag.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with video footage of the vehicle to upload it using the link provided in the agency’s request and to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000.
