Yelp unveiled its list of “Top 100 BBQ restaurants in the US, according to Yelp Elites.” Metro Phoenix made a strong showing with six spots, including the number one spot.

To arrive at the list, Community Team Members Sydney G and Christian S identified the barbecue category, then ranked the restaurants based on Yelp Elite Squad’s ratings and volume of reviews.

Here’s a look at Arizona barbecue restaurants that made Yelp Elite’s best list, their rating, ranking out of 100 and why the Yelp Elite loved them.

Little Miss BBQ-University ranked No. 1 in the entire country

Yelp called Little Miss, a restaurant run by 2026 James Beard semifinalist chef and owner Scott Holmes, “a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Central Texas–style barbecue,” adding that the food’s flavor was “unforgettable.”

Caldwell County BBQ ranked No. 8

Of this Texas and Arizona mix, Yelp said: “This spot serves up meat-market favorites with a Southwestern twist you won’t forget.” Caldwell BBQ has multiple locations and a new one opening on Mayo Boulevard. It’s been on our list of 100 essential restaurants two years running.

Eric’s Family Barbecue ranked No. 36

“With a friendly counter service vibe and hearty sandwiches and burgers on offer, Eric’s Family Barbecue is a standout spot for anyone eager to savor expertly crafted, flavorful fare,” Yelpers wrote of the family-owned restaurant that offers Texas ‘cue with a touch of Southwestern flavor.

Smoking Tiger Korean BBQ ranked No. 61

Yelp praised this spot for its “menu of beef, pork, and seafood” and “premium cuts, complemented by a generous spread of traditional banchan and classic Korean entrées.” It also made their list of best Korean BBQ in the U.S.

Hapa Food ranked No. 83

Hapa Food’s Asian and Hawaiian influences, won Yelpers’ hearts, especially “tender kalua pig, smoky kalbi ribs, and crispy garlic chicken.”

Bobby Q – Biltmore ranked No. 88

Bobby Q uses almond and mesquite to create “melt-off-the-bone ribs, fork-tender brisket, juicy hand-pulled pork and smoky sausage links at this Phoenix favorite.”
