PALM DESERT, Calif. — Matchups for the UNI men’s basketball team’s 2025-26 Thanksgiving multi-team event (MTE) were announced on Monday, featuring the return of a former Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) opponent to the Panthers’ schedule.
The Acrisure Holiday Invitational, which will be held Nov. 25-26 at the Acrisure Arena in the Coachella Valley, will include Northern Iowa, along with former MVC rival Loyola-Chicago, as well as Tulsa and San Jose State in the two-day, two-game event in southern California.
UNI will open the event on Nov. 25 against Loyola-Chicago at 3 p.m. CT before taking on either Tulsa or San Jose State on Nov. 26 at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Acrisure Series, which begins its third year as the largest college basketball MTE in the nation, will feature play from 20 total Division I programs including the following in five different pods:
- Acrisure Classic (Nov. 25-26): Iowa, Mississippi, Utah, Grand Canyon
- Acrisure Holiday Invitational (Nov. 25-26): UNI, San Jose State, Loyola-Chicago, Tulsa
- Acrisure Invitational (Nov. 27-28): Washington, Colorado, Nevada, San Francisco
- Acrisure Invitational (Nov. 27-28): Stanford, Minnesota, Saint Louis, Santa Clara
- Solo Games: Cal Baptist, San Diego, Cal State, Fresno State, Pepperdine
Tickets for the Acrisure Series will go on sale Friday, July 25 at 12 p.m. CT and are available online at ticketmaster.com, the official ticketing provider of Acrisure Arena. Tickets will also be available at the Ticketmaster Box Office at Acrisure Arena. Admission includes access to all games on that date.
