The college football season is approaching. There is always debate over ranking the best players in the sport. Here are the top 25 college football offensive tackles heading into the 2025 season.
Note: There is some projection in these rankings for the upcoming season. These are not NFL Draft rankings, but rather focus on the best players in college football.
25-21
25. Chris Adams, Memphis Tigers
Adams started his career at Old Dominion, then transferred to Memphis before last season. While he is a little underweight, he is expected to be one of the best group of five tackles in the country.
24. Kage Casey, Boise State Broncos
Casey was an All-American by some publications last season and helped block for Ashton Jeanty’s great rushing season. He now returns to an offense that will be forced to throw the ball more.
23. Bryce Henderson, Vanderbilt Commodores
Henderson played at the FCS level from 2020-2024 and excelled. Now he is moving up to the SEC, where he can help Vanderbilt stack successful seasons.
22. Elijah Pritchett, Nebraska Cornhuskers
Pritchett is a former five-star recruit who spent three seasons at Alabama, making 11 starts. He will be trusted to protect Dylan Raiola at Nebraska this season.
21. Tristan Leigh, Clemson Tigers
Leigh has started over the last two seasons for Clemson and has played well. The Tigers have high hopes for 2025 and Leigh helps keep the offense running smoothly.

20. Earnest Greene, Georgia Bulldogs
Greene made nine starts last season and was a Freshman All-American the season before. If he develops, Greene can take a huge leap forward this year.
19. Monroe Freeling, Georgia Bulldogs
Freeling has earned some experience over his time at Georgia. This will be his first year starting, but he is expected to play well for the Bulldogs.
18. Trevor Goosby, Texas Longhorns
Goosby has seen limited action during his college career, but was a good recruit. He will now be tasked with protecting Arch Manning’s blindside.
18. JC Davis, Illinois Fighting Illini
Davis is another player that could’ve gone pro, but decided to return. Illinois has a lot of talent returning and Davis can be an anchor on the offensive line.
16. Anthonie Knapp, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Knapp is at left tackle for Notre Dame after some shuffling last season. He played well and now will be protecting the quarterback in an offense that will attempt to throw more.

15. Caleb Tiernan, Northwestern Wildcats
Tiernan has started at left tackle for the last two seasons. He was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention last season and could follow in some of the recent Northwestern left tackles’ footsteps by going pro after the year.
14. Austin Barber, Florida Gators
Barber has played left tackle for Florida and could’ve gone pro, but instead returned. He has the potential to move his name up draft boards this fall.
13. Riley Mahlman, Wisconsin Badgers
Mahlman is very experienced, having started his career in 2021. He has improved over his time and is a bright spot on Wisconsin’s offense.
12. Brian Parker, Duke Blue Devils
Parker got some experience in 2023, Parker really broke out in 2024. He was named Second Team All-ACC and has potential to do much more for Duke this season.
11. Gennings Dunker, Iowa Hawkeyes
After being named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2023, Dunker improved and was selected to the Second Team All-Big Ten. He will be needed for Iowa to improve their offense.

10. Carter Smith, Indiana Hoosiers
Smith redshirted his first season at Indiana, then has started at left tackle ever since. The 2024 Big Ten Honorable Mention member helped Indiana’s offense really take a leap forward in 2024.
9. Ethan Onianwa, Ohio State Buckeyes
Onianwa is a massive tackle at 6-foot-6 and 357 pounds. He has dominated the competition at Rice, but now will get his chance to show what he can do in the Big Ten at Ohio State.
8. Aamil Wagner, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Wagner mans the right tackle spot for the Irish, who have one of the best offensive lines in the country. He is an athletic right tackle who really helped Notre Dame have a great rushing attack in 2024, but may have more pass blocking snaps this season.
7. Jordan Seaton, Colorado Buffaloes
Seaton started as a true freshman for Colorado and played well. He was a Freshman All-American who now has his sights on more honors starting this season.
6. Blake Miller, Clemson Tigers
Miller is one of the most experienced tackles in college football with 41 career starts. Last season, he was named First Team All-ACC and there is hope he could be an All-American in 2025.

5. Caleb Lomu, Utah Utes
Utah has the best pair of tackles in the country and Lomu does well in his role at left tackle. After redshirting one season and not playing much in 2023, he blossomed in 2024 and has a bright future.
4. Francis Mauigoa, Miami Hurricanes
Mauigoa is a great, physical right tackle who helped Miami have the no. 1 offense in the country and was named a 2024 Second Team All-ACC selection for his play.
3. Isaiah World, Oregon Ducks
World joined Nevada in 2021, redshirted his first season and has been improving his game ever since. While he was just MWC Honorable Mention last season, there is hope that his athleticsim will shine at Oregon and that he can be an early draft pick in 2026.
2. Kadyn Proctor, Alabama Crimson Tide
Proctor was a highly-touted recruit who signed with Alabama, left for Iowa last spring (2024) and then returned to Alabama. He has played well when suiting up for the Crimson Tide and was an All-SEC performer last season.
1. Spencer Fano, Utah Utes
Fano has garnered plenty of experience during his time at Utah and has developed well. The 2024 All-American will have the task of blocking for Devon Dampier, a quarterback who will pick up plenty of yards with his legs.
