The National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office issued a flood advisory Friday for Denton, Wise and Cooke counties. It is expected to clear at 3 p.m.

The severity is forecast to be minor but still present. Flood advisory’s are issued by the weather service when excessive rainfall is occurring or forecasted, causing minor flooding. 

According to the weather service, rain and thunderstorms will cut through parts of North Texas Friday, along with winds expected to be around 10 mph. Saturday night is forecast to see winds up to 20 mph.

Sunday, during the Netherlands vs. Japan FIFA World Cup game at Dallas Stadium, temperatures are forecast to be a high of 93 degrees with mostly sunny conditions and a heat index, or “feels-like” temperature, possibly reaching 101. However, rain reaches a 40% chance after 7 p.m.
