JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – One local nonprofit is helping young writers become published authors.
The Youth Salvage Project started as a small local initiative and has grown into a comprehensive support system to make sure no young person is left behind.
Founder Aquila Sharpless is an author himself, who started the initiative to raise reading levels and give children a head start.
Aquila Sharpless, along with Irisson Venters and Veyah Sharpless, child authors, joined ENC at Three to share more about their stories. For their full interview, see the video link above.
You can support the authors at Bubba’s 33 in Jacksonville tomorrow, June 16, from 5-7 p.m. at their book signing.
