DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A longtime Downtown Davenport business known for its gourmet food and extensive wine and martini list is calling on the community for support by dining in.
This week, The Phoenix, 111 West 2nd Street, posted to social media asking for help, something those in charge of the restaurant said they never thought they’d have to do.
“We’re asking for your help,” the post read. “Like many locally owned restaurants, we’re facing some very difficult challenges, and without a strong show of support from our community, The Phoenix may not be here much longer.
Throughout the years, we have overcoming flooding, maintenance issues, and slow seasons, but now we need your help more than ever. If you’ve ever thought about stopping in, now is the time. We are a hidden gem right here in the heart of Downtown Davenport.”
The Phoenix encouraged past and new customers to come in and enjoy one of their signature martinis, a delicious meal, dessert, and live piano music on Saturdays.
“The Phoenix has been a place where people have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, promotions, retirements, weddings, girls’ nights, date nights, and countless special memories,” the post said. “We’ve been honored to be part of so many moments in this community.”
According to the post, The Phoenix will also be offering a 10% off discount of your check when you pay with cash and mention you saw their social media post, through July 31.
