SH-183 closed near DFW Airport after single-vehicle crash – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Officials are investigating a crash in Irving that caused the westbound lanes of State Highway 183 to be closed on Thursday morning.

According to officials, the single-vehicle crash took place just before 1 a.m. near Esters Road.

Traffic is being diverted off of SH-183 and back toward Belt Line Road.

The highway remains closed while officials investigate the crash. It is not clear when the road will reopen.

Travelers heading to DFW Airport from Dallas on Thursday should avoid SH-183 and instead take SH-114 to the north entrance of the airport.
