In Maryland’s Sixth Congressional District, which stretches across the northern part of the state, two Democrats with deep pockets are waiting for more results in a close race. David Trone, the co-owner of a major wine retailer who previously represented the district, loaned his campaign $25 million and then gave it more than $400,000 in campaign contributions. The incumbent, Representative April McClain Delaney, loaned her campaign $7.4 million. After all that spending, they are separated by only 4 percentage points, with about about 40 percent of the vote reported.
