Former Pacers All-Star and IU All-American Victor Oladipo is attempting a comeback after spending the past two years out of the league.
Oladipo held workouts in Las Vegas during NBA Summer League and Pacers general manager Chad Buchanan acknowledged the Pacers had scouts there. However Buchanan did not indicate the Pacers would be in particularly hot pursuit of Oladipo’s services.

“As a scouting staff it’s our job to keep tabs on every potential player walking the planet that could potentially help us,” Buchanan told Alex Golden on “Setting the Pace” podcast this week. “We, like other teams, out in Vegas probably saw Victor. We weren’t the only team out there to evaluate him to see where he’s at.
“Obviously, we have a history with Victor. We’re always going to be looking for, if it’s the right player at the right time that fits us, we’re going to have to consider it whether it’s Victor or not. Many teams watched along with us. We get tied to him because he’s a former player of ours. I don’t think we’re any different than any other team that watched him out there.”
