Authorities identified the man killed in a shooting involving a DPS detective in Phoenix’s Biltmore area as 44-year-old Juan Jose Jimenez of Texas. The shooting happened around 3 p.m. at the AC Hotel, where DPS and DEA agents were present. It remains unclear what led up to the shooting. Jimenez was taken to a hospital, where he later died. No officers were hurt, and officials say more information is expected.
