PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police are looking for the driver of a BMW they say left two women seriously injured in west Phoenix before driving off.
At about 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to calls of a crash involving two cars near 2600 North 43rd Ave, according to Phoenix police.
A woman driving a Toyota Camry was hit by the driver of the BMW, witnesses told police. She was taken to the hospital with “serious injuries,” police said.
The BMW driver also hit a woman walking, before crashing into a fence. The woman was taken to the hospital in “extremely critical condition,” police said.
The BMW then sped off, according to police.
Police blocked off the area Sunday morning and are advising people to avoid that part of west Phoenix.
Phoenix police are asking anyone with information to contact the department or Silent Witness at 480‑WITNESS.
