Grant Harris, a senior vice president at the Amon G. Carter Foundation and former chief development officer for Cook Children’s Health Foundation, was arrested in Tarrant County on a solicitation charge June 29, according to police records.
The arrest record reviewed by The Dallas Express identifies Harris, 50, and lists the charge as “PC 43.021(b) Solicit Prostitution / Other Payor.”
A source with direct knowledge of the operation told The Dallas Express that Harris’ arrest stemmed from a World Cup-related sex-trafficking enforcement operation. The Dallas Express is not releasing the location of Harris’ arrest so as not to compromise ongoing World Cup sex trafficking task force operations.
The listing includes booking number A2608128, report number 260048643 and a $1,500 bond. FWPD listed Harris as released on a personal recognizance bond.
Former Cook Children’s Executive
Harris previously served as senior vice president and chief development officer for Cook Children’s Health Foundation.
Cook Children’s announced in 2017 that Harris had taken the senior vice president and chief development officer role at the foundation. The hospital system said at the time that he had worked within the foundation for nearly a decade, focusing on annual giving, donor engagement, donor relations and major gift fundraising.
In 2021, Cook Children’s said Harris received the inaugural Chief Development Officer of the Year Award from Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Fort Worth Inc.’s 2024 list of influential local leaders also identified Harris as senior vice president and chief development officer for Cook Children’s Foundation.

A screenshot of the Amon G. Carter Foundation’s website reviewed by The Dallas Express listed Grant W. Harris as senior vice president. The foundation’s website has since been scrubbed and Harris’ social platforms appear to be deactivated, including his LinkedIn profile, which was active just days ago and listed his role at the Amon Carter Foundation.

The Dallas Express contacted the Amon G. Carter Foundation by phone and email seeking comment. The foundation had not responded by publication time.
