Bearizona names newly rescued cubs after late Hulk Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne

  • July 26, 2025

WILLIAMS, AZ (AZFamily) —Bearizona Wildlife Park is welcoming two new black bear cubs rescued from eastern Arizona.

The cubs, now named Hogan and Ozzy, were named in tribute to the late icons Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne. One was rescued from Alpine, while the other came from Cibecue on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.

“Rescuing Hogan and Ozzy aligns with our core mission to safeguard vulnerable wildlife while at the same time honoring the legacies of cultural icons that I grew up with,” said Sean Casey, CEO of Bearizona Wildlife Park.

Bearizona officials say that after losing their mothers over 100 miles apart, Hogan and Ozzy will now be able to grow up together at the park. After a year at Fort Bearizona, they will meet 20 other furry friends in the forested habitat.

“We are dedicated to ensuring these cubs live healthy, enriched lives, and we invite the community to join us in celebrating their journey and the broader cause of conservation,” said Casey.

Bearizona says the pair will be out for visitors to meet in the coming weeks after a short quarantine to make sure they’re healthy and comfortable.
