A small business owner in Corona is seeking the public’s help in identifying the thieves who broke into his card shop over the weekend.
Surveillance footage captured a pair of burglars breaking into Corona Cards & Collectibles early Saturday and taking off with trading cards. The break-in occurred at about 4 a.m. at the shop on 6th Street, according to Edgar Diaz, the store’s owner.
The burglars were captured wearing dark, hooded sweaters, black face masks and dark gray gloves. They took off with a unique card collection worth about $15,000, according to Diaz.
“As a locally owned small business, this incident has had a significant financial and emotional impact on our team,” Diaz said in a statement.
The shop owner said he filed a report with the Corona Police Department.
