CANTON, New York (WWNY) – Golfers and village officials are set to meet Tuesday night at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club to discuss concerns about conditions at the municipal course.
The meeting follows two anonymous letters sent to village officials and a 7NEWS describing poor conditions at the course. Village officials plan to attend to hear from golfers directly.
Canton Mayor Mike Dalton said he wants to address any problems and find a way for the course to break even. He said the village has lost approximately $1 million operating the course over the past decade.
“The bottom line is that it’s a good facility. We want to keep it going, and we would like it to be more revenue-neutral,” Dalton said.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.
