  • July 22, 2026

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Cape Fear Community College’s Wilma W. Daniels Gallery and Cameron Art Museum (CAM) are inviting art lovers to attend their new exhibit, “Sense of Place”, opening next month.

The exhibit celebrates the artistic legacy of southeastern North Carolina and includes a curated selection of works from CAM’s permanent collection.

“This collaborative satellite exhibition invites visitors to explore the people, places, and perspectives that continue to define the cultural character of the Cape Fear region,” said exhibit curator Ben Billingsley.

“Sense of Place” will be open to the public from Aug. 11 through Oct. 9, with a public reception held on Aug. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery.
