The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council has rescheduled a virtual workshop the group planned to hold July 29 on creating safer transportation conditions on Rockaway Boulevard, between 183rd Street and Brookville Boulevard, near JFK Airport.
It’s now scheduled for Sept. 2 and will still be held via Zoom.
“The summer just proved too challenging, and we wanted to ensure appropriate participation and representation,” said Miriam Salerno of the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers, which is operating the workshop.
“We’re gathering feedback on ways to improve safety, walking, biking, and connections to transit along the corridor,” her group says online.
