“It’s a way of bringing art into everyday spaces while creating new opportunities for artists to share their work with people who may not typically visit a gallery,” Drummond said.
Every month you can see something different at the gallery from artists of diverse backgrounds and perspectives — photography, painting, fiber art, sculpture, or multidiscpilinary group shows.
“That flexibility keeps the gallery fresh and gives people a reason to keep coming back,” he said. “If the work is thoughtful, authentic and contributes to the conversation, there’s a place for it here.”
Many shows are one-night-only, creating more of an experience and conversation. Drummond has creatively curated these and incorporated more than art — music, poetry, sound baths and beyond.
As the gallery approaches its first anniversary, Drummond plans to celebrate with a group exhibition featuring artists from its inaugural year.
“When I opened Drummond Studio Gallery, my goal was simple,” he said. “I wanted to create a place where people could experience art in a way that felt welcoming and approachable. Today, that vision has grown into something much bigger.”

103 Broad St., Charleston
Reopened in April 2026
Mary Martin Gallery of Fine Art recently reopened under the leadership of artists Silvia Belviso Blair and Dru Blair, ushering in a new chapter for the longtime Charleston gallery.
“Our vision is to build on the legacy Mary Martin created while bringing our own perspective as artists and educators to the gallery,” said Silvia Belviso Blair.
“We want Mary Martin Gallery to be known not simply as a place to purchase beautiful artwork, but as a destination where people can discover exceptional artists and have meaningful experiences,” she added.
It’s a home for a diverse array of art — representational, impressionistic, contemporary, abstract, painting, sculpture, glass and more. Beyond an eclectic showcase of more than 30 artists, the reimagined space offers art classes through a partnership with the Blair Center for the Arts.
