The 30th annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair will take place Friday, Aug. 7, at Fair Park.

From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., eligible families can register to receive free backpacks and grade-appropriate school supplies. Students can also receive free health, dental and vision screenings, as well as sign up for free haircuts before the new school year.

The event will also feature games and activities, community organizations and family support resources.

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, All Stars Project Senior Vice President Antoine Joyce-Roach, Junior League of Dallas President Lauren Combest, Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Elizalde and other community partners and sponsors will speak during the kickoff ceremony at 7:30 a.m.
