If going to the movies is on the list for August, stroll on over to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, 700 W. Seventh Street, Los Angeles, where independent is the name of the game.

In celebration of the release of the PlayStation 5 game “Ghost of Yōtei,” fans can walk the Way of the Samurai at screenings of classic samurai cinema throughout August.

Look for these films:

• “The Tale of Zatoichi” at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, Sunday, Aug. 3, and Monday, Aug. 4 and at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5

Alamo Drafthouse is offering snacks inspired by the game and the movies. On the pop-up menu are Togarishi Shishito Peppers, a Mango Matcha Shake, a Midori & Rye cocktail, and the Yuzu Gin Spritz.

And just so movie and game lovers don’t forget the fun they’ve had, themed Ghost of Yōtei commemorative popcorn buckets shaped like rice baskets will be available to purchase — filled with popcorn, of course.

There’s more fun to be had during the month of August at the Alamo Drafthouse.

Didn’t pass the entrance exam to get on “Jeopardy!”? No worries, the Alamo has the answer with its new game that is played right from the theater seat, not on an embarrassing stage. All “Jeopardy! Interactive” requires is a smartphone, tablet or iPad.

Players will be pitted against other patrons, and the person who gives the correct answer first chooses the next clue. They also win fun prizes. There will be 61 clues across three rounds and “Daily Doubles” as well. Answer incorrectly and be penalized, but skip a question and there’s no penalty.

Tickets are available for 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 13, Aug. 27 and Sept. 10.

Alamo’s Only at the Alamo movie programming in August includes:

• Killer Cuts presents “Tales from the Hood,” 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1
