Forecasters say there will be a 20% of chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. near the Eastside of San Antonio. Isolated showers will continue in the area and over the Coastal Plains to I-35 corridor through Monday, according to the NWS.
Other than those low chances of rain on the Eastside, the rest of the area in San Antonio will look mostly dry with highs from 90 to 100 degrees. Heat index values could go up to around 105 degrees in some places, the NWS warns.
For the rest of the week, it will be mostly hot and dry throughout South-Central Texas. High temperatures will range from the lower 90s to over 100 degrees, with maximum heat index values climbing up to 111 degrees, according to the NWS. Isolated rain chances near 20 percent are possible early in the week before drier conditions return.
The NWS expects rain chances to come to an end by Tuesday, August 11. The hot and mainly dry weather will likely stick around heading into next weekend.
