Several San Antonio school districts, like Northside Independent School District, are heading back to class on Monday, August 10. Parents don’t have to worry about any rain in the morning hours as it will be hot and dry. However, low rain chances may hit the area come Monday afternoon.
Temperatures will be around 76 degrees around 7 a.m. but the heat will rise with it climbing to the 90s by 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Around 4 p.m. the area will see triple digit weather, 101. There will also be a 20% chance of rain around that hour into 7 p.m. — just between traffic hours.
“Hot, mostly dry weather continues through mid August across South-Central Texas,” the NWS wrote on X. High temperatures will range from 90 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with heat index values reaching up to 111 degrees. Rain chances remain minimal, topping out around 20 percent Sunday and Monday.”
And the dry weather will remain throughout the week, as there will be no chances of rain after Monday.
Like Northside ISD, East Central ISD and South San Antonio ISD head back to school on Monday. Boerne ISD, Edgewood ISD and IDEA Public Schools return to school on Tuesday, while the following start on Wednesday: Fort Sam Houston ISD, Harlandale ISD, Judson ISD, Lackland ISD, Medina Valley ISD, San Antonio ISD and Southside ISD.
