Jacksonville, Quincy Lutheran Women’s Fall Rally set for September

The Lutheran Women’s Fall Rally for the Jacksonville and Quincy zones will be Sept. 8 in Quincy, according to organizers.

The theme, based on Psalms 145:3-4, is “Great is the Lord. Tell of his mighty acts to all generations.”

The rally will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lutheran Church of St. John at 3340 State St. in Quincy. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon at noon. Cost for the luncheon is $15, though the rally itself is free.

The Rev. Steve Hayden will lead devotions and the Rev. Steven Summerer Jr. will lead the Bible study.

The Rev. Christopher Hull of Western Illinois University’s Immanuel Lutheran Student Center in Macomb will be the featured speaker.

Zone presidents Jane Henderson of Jacksonville and Lori Bronson of Quincy will lead the business meetings and members of the Jacksonville zone will present a skit.

Registration is required by Sept. 1 by contacting Lutheran Church of St. John at 217-222-8579. The rally is open to the public.
