Despite the DIY set-up, Simply Fondue was never a low-cost restaurant. It was more of a date-night spot where diners were encouraged to \u201cplay with your food,\u201d The News said in 2002.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Through decades of significant change on Greenville Avenue, Simply Fondue was still there.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The operator of Simply Fondue in East Dallas didn\u2019t respond to requests for comment via email and social media, and it isn\u2019t clear why the restaurant closed.<\/p>\n
The landlord, Madison Partners, is working on leasing the space.<\/p>\n
“Simply Fondue has been part of the Lowest Greenville story for a long time, and we’re grateful for their prior role in the neighborhood,\u201d Madison Partners managing partner Jon Hetzel wrote in an email.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery concept has its run, and as this one closes we’re excited to bring a great new restaurant to Lowest Greenville.”<\/p>\n
Simply Fondue was at 2108 Greenville Ave., Dallas.
